McKenna graduated from Regis University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and started off her career as an RN at a Level 1 Trauma center in Denver. After several years in the hospital, she decided to move to Nashville and pursue a career in elective cosmetic surgery. McKenna became Dr. Gilpin’s OR Nurse and is responsible for getting patients ready for surgery day of, reviewing all medications and medical history, ensuring patient comfort and safety in the OR, charting throughout the case, as well as recovering patients after their procedure and providing discharge instructions to caregivers.

As our pre op/circulator/recovery nurse, McKenna enjoys getting to be with patients throughout their entire surgical day to keep close continuity of care.
