What Is Dermaplaning
I am SO excited to finally say we now offer dermaplaning in our practice. This is one of my favorite things to do for myself and I’m so excited we can now offer it to all of you as well. If you’ve never heard of dermaplaning (or you have and want a quick refresher) I’ve put together a quick summary of who can benefit from this fabulous treatment and our initial dermaplaning packages and pricing.
Dermaplaning is a process where a trained professional removes the fine hair from the face. Why would I want to do that you ask? Well because it helps to remove the top layer of your skin and allows a new layer of skin to regenerate. The hair blocks access to the skin and contains dirt and oil, so by removing them you help your skin stay clean!
Is it scary? Does your hair grow back the same? I’ve answered all the major questions about this below.

-Takes about 30 minutes for dermaplaning and masque/peel
-You’ll want to do this every 4-6 weeks
-It’s not painful
-No downtime
-Hair does not grow back darker or thicker
-Exfoliates the top layer of skin from the epidermis so that you can have better cell turnover. When we turn over the cells of our skin, it helps to soften our fine lines.
-Would not recommend if you have severe acne. If you have a spot here or there, we’ll work around it.
-Can be done while pregnant or breastfeeding!
