How Does Xeomin Work?
Xeomin’s active ingredient is called botulinumtoxin, a bacterium that binds to the nerve receptors in the muscles when injected. This process is very effective for relaxing and preventing wrinkles because certain types of wrinkles (especially in the upper face) are formed by natural expressions like squinting or frowning. Over time, these expressions wear fine lines and crease into the skin. Xeomin can weaken these muscle movements, thus reducing the appearance of lines and creases.
