Fall Into Beauty this Autumn!

Posted October 13, 2020 in Injectables

School is back in session, the temperature is beginning to drop, and we are looking forward to our favorite autumn medspa treatments. After extra sun exposure through the summer months, many treatments can be chosen to refresh and rejuvenate the appearance to transition into fall. In addition to treating common concerns, fall is often a great time to try a medspa treatment because many procedures require patients to avoid sun exposure after their appointment.

Diamond Glow

Diamond Glow is a microdermabrasion treatment that gently yet thoroughly exfoliates the skin using a diamond tip and suction. At the same time, a custom formula of SkinMedica Pro-Infusion Serums is delivered to the skin’s surface. This means that Diamond Glow is a suitable treatment for a variety of skin concerns, such as fine lines and wrinkles, dryness, dark spots, sun damage, and acne. This makes it a suitable treatment for teens looking to treat acne as they go back to school or adults who want to treat sun damage to prevent advanced aging. Results from Diamond Glow last for up to two weeks, and patients can schedule treatments as frequently as once or twice a month if they wish.

SkinPen Microneedling

SkinPen Microneedling uses extremely small needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. This stimulates new collagen production and encourages cell turnover, creating an overall rejuvenated look. This is beneficial for aging signs like fine lines and wrinkles, dull tone or texture, enlarged pores, and hyperpigmentation among other skin concerns. After receiving a SkinPen treatment, most patients experience some redness and tenderness for about two days. Following this, results can be seen as early as a week after the SkinPen treatment and will continue to improve over time. SkinPen treatments are often repeated about one month apart, with most patients having three to six SkinPen sessions.

Botox and Dermal Fillers

Injectable treatments, including Botox and dermal fillers like Juvéderm, are among our favorite treatments for autumn.

Botox softens wrinkles around the eyes and through the forehead that are caused by repetitive movement and facial expressions. If you have developed crow’s feet or eleven lines between the eyebrows from squinting in the sun all summer, this fall is the perfect time to try Botox.

Dermal fillers, like Juvéderm, can be used to non-surgically augment the lips or to restore lost volume and fill in wrinkles and lines around the nose and mouth. This can give you a confidence boost moving into the busy fall season.

HALO Laser

The HALO laser uses a combination of ablative (resurfacing) and non-ablative (non-resurfacing) laser technology for enhanced results compared to other facial laser treatments. Patients will see rejuvenated, glowing, youthful skin after receiving HALO laser treatment. In addition to treating uneven, rough, or dull skin, HALO is a great treatment for sun damage, including wrinkles and fine lines or sunspots.
