This patient did not like the depression above the tip of his nose, nor the small ‘bump’ on his dorsum (nasal bridge). The patient also wished for his nostrils to be narrowed. We were able to achieve his goals with an open rhinoplasty and alar base reduction. During the procedure Dr. Gilpin placed a piece of cartilage, harvested from inside the nose, onto the nasal dorsum to correct the depression. He also refined the tip to straighten it and give better definition.
